Hello! My name is Chad Shank. I am a songwriter and music producer in Minneapolis, MN.  I have been writing and recording songs for over 15 years. Songs I have written have been recorded by artists in genres like Pop, R&B, Dance, Country and Rock. My songs have been used on TV shows on MTV, CMT, HBO, WETV, Hallmark, Discovery, NBC and others.  My exoerience and education ranges from studying songwriting with the Berklee College of Music, to studying audio engineering and music production at The Recording Workshop School for Recording Arts in Chillicothe, OH.  I also worked on-air in commercial radio for 7 years.

Now I have decided to teach songwriting lessons. Why?  Well some of the artists I produce have been asking for advice and ideas for years and I have helped them become better songwriters... So I realized that i really like sharing my knowledge and I get a thrill out of seeing someone's songwriting really take off.

So I started this site and I have been teaching songwriting lessons in my home project studio. It is super fun, and my students learn alot, and so do I. So if you are looking to grow as a songwriter, please book a lesson or two and let's make some songwriting magic.
